Camron is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic communications expert to join our New York-based team as a Senior Account Director, working at the intersections of architecture, urban design, real estate, and travel. This person will become deeply integrated into client work, building and leading strategies and balancing day-to-day priorities across the team and portfolio.

The ideal candidate for this role is intelligent and curious, with experience and a passion for architecture, culture, the arts, and design-led business.

This role is for a team that specializes in strategic communications, working both in media relations/PR and sophisticated communications audits, strategic advisement, messaging, crisis communications, and more. Success on this team requires a commitment to teamwork and collaboration, as well as a passion for mentoring and supporting junior staff.

This role requires impeccable writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to quickly turn around written materials, including strategies, press releases, client reports, and more.

Additionally, a leader in this role may engage in new business opportunities, including overseeing development of proposal documents in collaboration with leadership, and recognizing new business opportunities with new or existing clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading client campaign delivery on a day-to-day basis, including formulating strategy through delivery and everything in-between in collaboration with the account team
  • Lead on creative media campaign formulation, sell-in and delivery.
  • Have a proven media contact book and generate standout feature placement in appropriate titles.
  • Maintain and nurture close client relationships; act as strategic counsel and first point of call for all enquiries.
  • Manage campaigns for a diverse portfolio.
  • Write and produce client strategies, new business presentations and press materials.
  • Create and execute media strategies planned to client priorities.
  • Effectively manage and develop junior members of staff.



Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in relevant areas of communications
  • Long standing senior level media relationships in the design, architecture and/or lifestyle categories
  • Established experience managing high level client relationships.
  • Exceptional proactivity and ability to excel at working in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience developing and presenting new business proposals to prospective clients.
  • Management experience of a junior team with a track record of success and mentorship
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and a great communicator—both in person and online.

  • 25 days annual leave
  • Hybrid working: minimum three days in the office a week
  • Compensation for this role is based upon experience, qualifications, location, and education and typically ranges from $110,000 and $120,000
