Senior Account Executive

Camron is seeking an enthusiastic publicist to play an important role in a New York-based team working at the intersections of architecture, urban design, real estate, and travel. This person will become fully integrated into client work, supporting delivery of all aspects of client campaigns and projects.

The ideal candidate for this role is proactive and driven, with experience and interests across architecture, culture, design, and beyond.

This role requires strong attention to detail, confident writing skills, as well as the ability to quickly turn around materials, including contribution to client reports, research tasks, asset management and more. The role will entail increased ownership of the press office including media targeting, journalist briefings, coverage monitoring and tracking, and press materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of client administration, including weekly and monthly reports, and call notes
  • Building and maintaining relevant media lists for clients, alongside the Camron media database
  • Direct correspondence with clients, including delivery of reports and sharing media opportunities
  • Keeping up to date with media, including reading newspapers and the internet
  • Writing press materials
  • Supporting the delivery of client events including drafting event briefs, guest lists, and delivering media coverage
  • Keeping up to date with current affairs and trends that are relevant to clients
  • Organising, and attending, journalist briefings
  • Researching for the team, associated with client work


Experience & Skills:

  • 1+ years public relations experience
  • Knowledge and/or interest in the design and culture space
  • Ability to excel at working in a fast-paced environment
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and a great communicator—both in person and online
  • Team player with the ability to manage both up and down–from senior leadership to interns
  • Appreciation of different types of media, including magazines, newspapers, and blogs
  • Strong computer skills, including Mac and PC, Microsoft Office


Benefits: 

  • 25 days annual leave
  • Hybrid working: minimum three days in the office a week
  • Compensation for this role is based upon experience, qualifications, location, and education and typically ranges from $70,000 and $74,999
